Why Study German?
More people speak German as their mother tongue than any other language in Europe. More than 80 million speak it in Germany and it is also the official language in Austria, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg and Switzerland. Many people also speak German in northern Italy, eastern Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, eastern France and in parts of Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia and Romania. A total of 120 million people speak German around the World.

Germany is the third largest economy in the world and the number one exporting country, just ahead of the US. Germany is the leading economic force the EU and is a country of innovators. Names such as Gutenberg, Hertz, Ehrlich, Brandenburg and of course Einstein are well known throughout the world. Because of the countrys cutting-edge industrial sector, knowing the language generates lots of opportunities if you wish to work in a German company.

If you interested in working with tourism, in any country, knowing German is always a huge merit since Germans are the biggest spenders of tourist money in the world.

Germany is also the country of thinkers and poets. Knowing German allows you to understand the works of famous people such as Goethe, Mann, Kafka, Hesse, Beethoven Strauss, Mozart, Bach, Marx and Nietzsche in a whole new way.
